Oroku Saki, known as Shredder, is the primary antagonist in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. He is the leader of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization operating in New York City. His first on-screen appearance is in the TMNT movie.
Shredder is a master martial artist and a ruthless villain. He manipulates troubled teenagers, including Danny Pennington, recruiting them into the Foot Clan and using them for criminal activities. He harbors a personal vendetta against Splinter, the Ninja Tortoises' sensei, stemming from events in their shared past.
In the movie, Shredder seeks to dominate New York City's underworld. He clashes repeatedly with the Ninja Tortoises and ultimately meets his demise in a confrontation with them.
